"MEMPHIS BOUND" IS NOMINATED FOR ALBUM OF THE YEAR
Detweiler's 2023 album, "Memphis Bound", is one out of 5 (five) albums nominated for Album of The Year
for the prestigious Josie Music Awards (JMA), in the Blues category. The awards ceremony will take place on OCT 22, 2023
at The Grand Ole Opry Theater in Nashville.
JOHN M. KENNEDY'S 'SIDEWALKS' PREMIERED IN LOS ANGELES ON APRIL 28
On April 28, renowned American composer, John M. Kennedy's, "Sidewalks", premiered at the 75th anniversary
celebration of the founding of California State University Los Angeles, in Los Angeles. Detweiler co-wrote the text. Video will be available soon.

SCOTT DETWEILER RECEIVED JAZZZONE JAZZABRATION'S LIVING LEGEND BLUES AWARD IN LOS ANGELES
On February 16, 2023, Scott was awarded the prestigious JazzZone Jazzabration's Living Blues Legend Hall of Fame Award,
along with bandmate, Bill Johnston, and Cleveland Jones (Temptations) and Norman Carter (Delfonics).
The event was held at the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.
SCOTT DETWEILER IS A 2023 IBC SEMIFINALIST!!
In the Solo/Duo division of the Blue Foundation's International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, on JAN 26, 2023,
Scott was the only California artist to compete in the competition and out of hundreds of domestic and international competitors,
he emerged as one of 24 (twenty-four) semi-finalists. This is a huge accomplishment and he was very proud to have represented
